IAM strike benefits commence beginning the third week of the strike, and are paid beginning the end of the third week.

Strike checks will be distributed at the following locations:

Mondays 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Tuesdays 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

IMPORTANT: Checks will only be distributed directly in person to the member, and the member must sign for the check. No check will be distributed to anyone else. If you are not able to pick up your check, it will be sent back to the IAM Strike Desk, and will be sent back the next week, so if you miss one week, you can pick up both checks the next week.

Federal Law requires the Grand Lodge to report all strike benefits paid in the amount of $600 or more in a calendar year to the Internal Revenue Service.
Disability: If you are on disability and currently receiving disability pay, you are technically not on strike and not required to perform strike/picket duty. For these reasons you are not eligible to receive a strike check until you are no longer receiving disability payments . If your doctor releases you, contact the union office, and then you will start receiving strike checks. If you have any questions, contact the union hall.
